FAQ

AI visibility, explained

What is AI visibility (AEO/GEO)?

When people ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini for recommendations, the AI names specific brands — pulled from the sources it reads. AI visibility measures how often YOUR brand appears in those answers. Optimizing for it is called AEO (answer-engine optimization) or GEO (generative engine optimization) — the successor discipline to SEO.

How does this checker work?

We generate 3 realistic buying-intent questions for your category (without your brand name in them), ask real AI engines live, and check whether you're mentioned — plus which websites the AI cited as sources. Nothing is simulated; these are the same answers a customer would see.

How do I get my brand INTO AI answers?

AI engines recommend brands they find in the sources they trust: comparison articles, directories, review sites and authoritative content. The fix is getting covered in the domains AI actually cites for your category — the full MarkPilot report shows you exactly which domains those are, and its AI agents draft the content to get you there.
